FOOT GOLF TOURNAMENT | 2017
PALMETTO MILITARY SUPPORT GROUP
"Our Mission
• To raise money to re-invest in the Charleston-area military community to support ongoing military activities of all sorts
• To provide a way for regular citizens and patriotic companies to meet and say thank you and to otherwise support our warfighters
• To enhance the initiatives and help with issues facing the Charleston-area military
• To increase awareness and understanding of the area’s many commands for their community service contributions and economic impact (some $8 billion/year)
• To attract a robust volunteer force of civilians to help with events on Joint Base Charleston
• To bring our military and civilian communities together more often and in greater numbers than ever in order to cement the bonds of gratitude and understanding
• To allow many more civilians to visit their bases, to see their installations, aircrafts, ships, and operations.
• To foster closer ties with military personnel while allowing military members to meet the public and learn more about the Charleston community
• To make our area safer from future BRACs; to avoid closures, of course, but also to position Charleston as the ideal place to realign existing commands from elsewhere" ~ https://palmettomilitarysupportgroup.org/about-us/
