2016 | PICCOLO SPOLETO | Sunset Serenade
5000 enjoyed the annual curtain raiser for Piccolo Spoleto Festival and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra under the direction of CSO Music Director Ken Lam as they perform an outdoor concert at the United States Custom House in Historic Charleston SC performing works by Dvořák, Glinka, & Tchaikovsky.
A lucky raffle ticket owner won a brand new Lexus! The night concluded as a 10 year young lady volunteered to direct the orchestra to 'Stars and Stripes'. Her performance brought the crowd to their feet with a roar of applause. on May 30, 2016Wow and wow. What a beautiful venue. I can feel the music through your photography. The intense expressions of the musicians and the interest of the public are both intriguing. What a magnificent setting for such an event. The absolute joy in the facial expressions is spellbinding. Getting lost in the grand scheme of things during such an event is magical. Your love for the orchestra and spot on depiction of the venue certainly go hand in hand. I'm gearing up to enjoy as much if Spoledo as your camera offers me. I have the best seat in the house. Many thanks for sharing your expertise with me.
