According to WCSC News of MT. PLEASANT, SC, The Mount Pleasant Town Council ‘condemned about 43 acres for the park and later settled with the owner for $6 million. Construction of the 2,200 foot boardwalk cost about $2.5 million.’
$8.5 million later, 2200 feet of 10 foot-wide board walk length, 40 acres of marsh, and three years of tedious construction, something magnificent was erected!.
